OSP fiber cable is outside plant fiber cable, commonly used for outdoor applications. OPS fiber cable are divided into two types: central loose tube fiber cable and stranded loose tube fiber cable.

The structure of central loose tube fiber cable is a loose tube in the center, and the reinforcing member is located around the loose tube. For example, the common GYXTW type optical cable has a small number of fiber cores, usually less than 12 cores, now can be 24 cores. Small center loose tube fiber cable is used abroad a lot.

Stranded loose tube fiber cable is designed with 5 or 6 of loose tubes stranded around strength member. There are many type of stranded loose tube fiber cable, such as GYTS, GYTA, GYFTY, GYTA53, and GYTY53, etc..By combining the loose tubes, the fiber cores of stranded fiber cable can be 2-288cores.
