The transceiver modules are shaped like optical modules, but there is no laser installed inside. 25G high-speed cables can replace 25G optical modules to achieve short-distance data transmission, and because there is no laser installed, the price is much lower than 25G optical modules. It is a better way for 25G switch short-distance interconnection applications in data centers. It is a common and cost-effective solution.
