The interface type of the RJ45 optical module is RJ45. The RJ45 optical transceiver is a module that supports hot swapping. The package types are SFP, SFP+, GBIC, and so on. According to the different speeds of RJ45optical module, it can be divided into 100M RJ45 optical module, Gigabit RJ45 optical module, 10G RJ45 optical module and adaptive RJ45 optical module. Among them, Gigabit RJ45 optical module and 10 Gigabit RJ45 optical module are the most widely used.
The transmission rate of the Gigabit RJ45 optical module (also called the 1000 Base SFP RJ45 optical module) is 1000Mbps, and it is widely used in Gigabit Ethernet. The difference between the Gigabit RJ45 optical transceiver and the Gigabit optical transceiver is : one end of the Gigabit RJ45 optical module is an electrical port , and its interface is connected to a network cable; and the one end of the Gigabit optical module is an optical port, its interface is connected with a jumper. The Gigabit RJ45 optical transceiver has good conduction performance and has a self-locking function, which can effectively prevent the connection network cable from loosening and falling off.
The 10 Gigabit RJ45 optical module (10G SFP+ electrical port module), as the name implies, has a transmission rate of 10G. This module is designed for high-speed communication links. Compared with ordinary optical modules, the power consumption of 10 Gigabit RJ45 optical modules is one-half of ordinary optical modules, and the performance is stable. It can realize the 10G transmission network through the network cable and is widely used in 10 Gigabit Ethernet. The Gigabit RJ45 optical transceiver is generally connected to the Cat6 network cable, and its maximum transmission distance is 100m; the 10G RJ45 optical module is generally connected to the Cat6a network cable, and its maximum transmission distance is 30m.
