The structure of central tube fiber cable is a loose tube in the center, and the reinforcing member is located around the loose tube. For example, the common GYXTW type optical cable has a small number of fiber cores, usually less than 12 cores, now can be 24 cores.

The cable is relatively soft and has a certain pulling strength, which common apply for indoors and outdoors. Overhead and pipeline are relatively convenient.

Stranded fiber optic cable is designed with 5 or 6 of loose tubes stranded around strength member. There are many type of stranded fiber cables, such as GYTS, GYTA, GYFTY, GYTA53, and GYTY53, etc..By combining the loose tubes, the fiber cores of stranded fiber cable can be 24-144cores.
